Vincent Enyeama has insisted that the Super Eagles are not under any pressure, as the team believes in its ability to secure a win away to Congo this weekend, in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Red Devils left Calabar with a 3-2 victory over the African Champions in their first leg and Stephen Keshi’s men will be seeking to avenge that defeat, to boost their own chances of qualification.
“This is football; we are not under any pressure. It’s football, why should we be under any pressure? I mean this is football, you will always make people happy, you will make some sad. That is the reality of life,” Enyeama told journalists.“We just want to go there and get there points by hook or crook. Anyhow!
“We want it to be our day on Saturday. May God help us. But this is football. What can we do?”
The Lille goalkeeper also insisted that he was not interested in a clean sheet, but victory.
“The most important thing is not to keep clean sheet, I don’t want clean sheet records but I want to win 10-9, 55-50. I don’t clear about clean sheet,” he added.
