This will be not a formal write up neither will it be an informal one but just straight up.
The messy attitudes of Nigerian police has over the time been told to my ears, likewise have read some journals that debate on their abashed attitudes that really contradict and demoralize what the ethics of the Job is for. Have grown to know that policing in Nigeria is much more far different, if not worst compare to what a near by country like Ghana is having as a police Institution.
Our Own (Nigeria Police) are the type that begs their boss to assign them the road patrol and road blocking sites to them. At least the pocket money’ Egunje’ has my Yoruba people call it will never pass him /her bye. They never want to seat in Stations to do more valuable jobs but when it comes to road things they are always eager to match forth. Funny enough they even sometimes go to the length of rumpling the cloth of their culprit, especially the Bus Conductor guys, if he fails to pay their shameful tithe or let’s put if as offering. I ask is that their Job?
Interestingly too they can be. Now have you ever once engage in war of words with any of them? How do you feel the swag of the Broken English, do you constantly here this, I will deal with you, you think Say I be only ordinary police man, am a police man to the core. Oga Oya lets move to the station this man needs some senses in him. They are many of those words they say and when ever I hear them. I laugh and say to myself, each profession has got its own Jargons, am sure these are that of POLICE in Naija.
On to this one. This really happen Yesternight and it still makes me puzzle.
The scene actual started from Ogba bus terminal, a man in black inner round neck shirt board the bus with us, and as we were all entering, the bus driver has been shouting on top of his vioce’ Wole pelu Change e ni oo’ Enter with your change because I don’t have any change at all. We all know it’s their ways even when they have been working since 6:00am till night they do not usual have change though Balance. The bus was filled and we begin our journey and when it was time for the driver to ask for his money, all other commuters paid their money excepts for a man. The driver shouted angrily my money is yet to be complete pls pay me and that’s when a voice said to him. My Oga at the wheel theirs a staff in your Bus. The Tale continues later
