Idaye Super Goals

The Nigerian striker had drawn blank in his last five league games on his return from the Nations Cup until this past weekend
Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye scored his first goal in the league this year on Saturday against Karpaty and though he was happy to have ended his scoring drought, he was happier that the goal won his team all three points.
The goal, his 14th league goal of the season came in the 64th minute off a pass from Miguel Veloso. His last goal in the league had been against Hoverla on November 30, 2012, though the Ukrainian league was on winter break between December and February, as the second phase of the league kicked off on March 1.
“It is good that we won today. I had to play on a heavy pitch, but the most important thing - that we have earned three points, it is important for the team,” Ideye told his club’s official website.
“I have not scored in the Ukrainian Premier League, so I tried my best to fix it,” he continued. The goal earned all three points but Dynamo remain in third place with only the top two qualifying for the lucrative Uefa Champions League.

“[Saturday] I did it, and I'm glad I helped the team win. I believe in our power to take the second place, you just need to continue to work hard and win every game.
The Nations Cup winner also said the team was missing players and that the Karpaty pitch was wet and heavy thereby constraining them to playing long balls.
“We had staffing problems as many players could not take part in the match. In addition, the field was not very good quality, so we tried to do more long passes.”
The pitch necessitated that Ideye change his boots in the first half and he said; “It was swampy, on this field, it was difficult to run, so I changed to softer boots,” he concluded
