Four teachers, two others killed as gunmen attack schools in Maiduguri

In a renewed onslaught on schools in Borno, four school teachers including two female teachers and two other people were yesterday morning killed when some gunmen launched multiple attacks on four schools in the troubled city of Maiduguri yesterday.

It was gathered that many students who were hit by stray bullet were also injured in the multiple attacks on the schools.
But the Joint Task Force (JTF) in a statement said only one teacher was killed when some gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members attacked Shehu Sanda Kyarimi School. Spokesman of the task force Lt Col Sagir Musa in a statement emailed to journalists, also said that men of the task force averted an attack on a secondary school in Mafoni and Galadima wards of the metropolis and killed three members of the sect. The schools attacks, according to sources, include Mafoni Day Secondary School, Yelwa Central School, Shehu Sanda Kyari Secondary School and Ali-Alaskiri Primary School.
