GONE WITH THE WIND

Son of the former military Vice-President, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu who died last year after a prolonged battle with cancer. Ehimen was his only son from his wife, Rebecca.

The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs,  Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) was a popular TV host. He joined the NNPC in 2003 and served five GMDs of the corporation before his death.

He served as Under-Secretary in the Ministry of Industries from 1962 to 1965 and Permanent Secretary at the Ministries of Industries, Finance, Trade and Defence. He was on the board of FCMB.
John Ahmadu
Former Deputy Inspector General of the Police (DIG) who was retired in the
reorganisation in the  Force. He was Commissioner  of Police in Delta State before he was promoted DIG in June 2008.
Ameena Bugaje
A graduate of the Ahmadu Bello Univer-sity, Zaria. She was said to have travelled through Abuja, instead of Kaduna, to Lagos to catch a flight to Ghana. She told her friends that her father was more comfortable with flying through Abuja.
Alvana Ojukwu
She worked with Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) as Programme Officer before her death. The young lawyer was on her way to Lagos to attend a workshop on promoting affirmative action for women in politics.
Adedunni Doherty
A very intelligent and smart lady, she has worked at Rencap and Oando. She was working for the Lagos Preparatory School Trust, Ikoyi, and was planning to further her studies later in the year to get a PhD.
