"The Meeting" A film by Rita Dominic gets six nominations at AMAA awards 2013

 
New movie The Meeting which had Nollywood actress Rita Dominic as co-producer from the stable of The Audrey Silva Company, one of Nigeria’s foremost film and television production outfits has packed on six nominations at the Africa Movies Academy Awards AMAA.
The categories are: AMAA 2013 Prize for Achievement in Costume Design, Achievement in Make-Up, Best Nigerian Film, Best Actress In A Supporting Role – Linda Ejiofor, Best Actor In A Leading Role – Femi Jacobs and  Best Actress In A Leading Role – Rita Dominic
Rita Dominic and her team had initiated a very aggressive promotional campaign for the movie shortly after it’s October 19, 2012 premiere in Lagos using very extensively social platforms like Facebook, Twitter and video sharing site;Youtube.
A total of 671 films have been submitted for AMAA this year, compared to average of 300 plus that were entered in previous editions.
The AMAA college of screeners also received entries from African film makers in diaspora;United States, Brazil, Singapore, UK, Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica.
